Strategic Website Design

Your website has a big job to do!

Your website is often the first place someone goes when deciding if you are the answer they are looking for. And before they reach out, they are quietly making decisions about your business.

A strategic website helps answer the most important questions they have...

What do you do?

Are you be the right fit for me?

Whether your website is built on WordPress, Squarespace, or Shopify, my goal is always the same... to create a website you're excited to share and one that works just as hard as you do.

I start with strategy, not a template.

I've never been a fan of cookie-cutter websites that force your business into a standard formula. That's not how you stand out!

Every business is different. Your goals are different. The people you want to attract are different. That's why I take the time to understand your business before we ever talk about design.

Here's what I want to know...

  • Who you're trying to attract
  • What makes your business different
  • How people naturally move through your website
  • What questions your website should answer
  • How your website fits into your overall marketing

Once I understand those pieces, I can start connecting the dots. Every page, every call to action, and every design decision has a purpose and is made with intention.

That’s how your website starts working like a business tool, not just a pretty page online.

Strategy goes beyond SEO

When people hear "SEO," they often think it's all about keywords. While keywords certainly have their place, a website that ranks well but leaves visitors confused isn't doing your business any favors.

That's why I take a much broader approach.

I take the time to think through how people will experience your website from the moment they land on the page and make sure...

People know what you do without having to dig

Each page helps them know where to go next

The website answers the questions they already have

Along the way, I’ll also build a solid SEO foundation with thoughtful page structure, clear headings, strategic internal linking, and content written for real people first. That is

Today, people aren't just searching on Google anymore.

They’re also asking questions using AI tools. While I can’t promise when, where, or how your website may show up in AI-generated answers, I do know the same fundamentals still matter... clear messaging, thoughtful website structure, helpful content, and a strong SEO foundation.

My goal is to create a website that makes sense to real people, search engines, and the tools people are using to find answers today.

Which website platform is right for you?

One of the questions I get asked most often is, “Which platform should I use?”
And my answer is always… it depends.

Some businesses are a great fit for WordPress. Others are better served by Squarespace or Shopify. It comes down to your goals, how you plan to use your website, and what will be easiest for you to manage moving forward.

During our discovery call, I’ll ask questions, talk through your options, and recommend the platform that makes the most sense for your business.

WordPress

Best for businesses that want the most flexibility and room to grow.

WordPress is a great fit if you want more control over your website, plan to blog consistently, need more customized layouts, or want the ability to add more features over time.

Coffee icon 3

Squarespace

Best for businesses that want something polished and easy to manage.

Squarespace is a good fit for straightforward websites where simplicity matters. It works well for small businesses that want a professional online presence without needing a lot of extra functionality.

Shopify

Best for businesses selling products online.

Shopify is perfect for businesses selling products online, whether you're launching your first store or refreshing an existing one.

Don't worry if you aren't sure which is the right platform for you! I'll help you decide during our discovery call.

Web Design Pricing Tailored to Your Specific Needs

Every project is quoted based on your goals, website needs, and recommended platform. During your discovery call, we’ll talk through what I recommend, what it costs, and what moving forward would look like. Afterward, I’ll send a detailed proposal so you'll have a clear understanding of the project before making any decisions.

You're probably thinking, "Great... but how much will this cost?"

Fair question my friend! Because I price each project based on specific goals I can't give you an exact price here. What I can tell you that most of my web design projects fall between $3,000 and $6,000, and average around $4,200.

Plus I know this is a big investment, which is why I offer flexible payment plans to make it easier on you.

Teresa's approach to creating a customized website made the process less daunting and actually a very enjoyable process. She is a problem solver that exudes a calm presence through every aspect of the development process.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

I don't have a big team, with project managers that change every month. All of my client work is done by me alone, and I prefer it that way. So you really will be working directly with me from the first coffee chat through launch.

You and I will talk through ideas, and make decisions together. I want to make the process feel simple, enjoyable, and even a little fun.  (And yes... I really do get excited about websites!)

Here's a quick look at what my web design process looks like...

We’ll start with a Coffee Chat to talk through your goals and see if we would make a good team.

I’ll get to know your business, your clients, your goals, and what your website needs to communicate.

I map out the strategy so the pages, functionality, and flow all support the proposal we created together.

You get dedicated time on my project calendar to design and build your website behind the scenes.

You’ll have a whole year of support from our initial project date, because websites need regular TLC.

Teresa has a pain-free, documented process to work with you to create a website you can be proud of. She really listens to who you are, what you need and how she can help you achieve your goals. Teresa also provides support for an entire year which was a key reason I chose her over a local marketing firm to create my website.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a website project typically take?

Most projects are completed in approximately 12 to 14 weeks. Timelines can shift depending on content readiness, feedback, and scheduling.

How involved do I need to be?

No one knows your business better than you do. While I'll guide you through the entire process, your input, feedback, and expertise are what make your website truly reflect your business.

I'll let you know exactly what I need, when I need it, and keep the project moving every step of the way. If you're looking for someone to disappear for three months and magically return with a finished website, I'm probably not the right fit.

The best websites aren't built in isolation. They're built through collaboration.

Will my current website stay live during the redesign?

Yes! I'll build your new website behind the scenes while your current website continues serving your business. Nothing goes live until everything has been reviewed, approved, and is ready to launch.

Can I update my website myself after launch?

Absolutely. Your website belongs to you, and you'll be able to make updates yourself if you'd like, but remember you have me for a full year! Make the most of that year and let me make those changes for you!

Who owns my website and domain?

You do. I believe every business owner should own their website, domain name, and content. I'll make recommendations throughout the project, but everything is set up so you remain in control.

What happens after launch?

Launch day isn't the end of our work together. Every website project includes a full year of support from our initial design meeting, so you'll have someone to turn to as questions come up and your business continues to grow.

Can you help with SEO and blogging after launch?

Every website I design includes a strong SEO foundation to help your business get off to a great start.

If you're looking to continue growing your website through strategic content, I also write SEO-focused blogs for select clients whose business and audience I know well. We'll talk through whether that's a good fit for your business during our discovery call or after your website launches.

Let's Grab a Coffee!

Every great website starts with a conversation.

I'd love to hear about your business, answer your questions, and help you figure out the best next step. If we're a good fit, I'll put together a recommendation that's tailored specifically to your goals. If we aren't... I'll do my best to guide you to what will be a great fit for you.
