Small Town, Rich History & A Living Legend
Victory Gym was originally opened by Ralph Kroger, one of the most celebrated bodybuilders of the 60’s and 70’s, who won most of the major contests of his time including WBBG Pro Mr. America, WBBG Mr. International, and WBBG Pro Mr. USA.
Ralph taught everyone around him that being humble is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking about yourself less, a lesson he passed on to Victory Gym's current owner, Quinton. Quinton was so inspired by Ralph and the man he was, that he became a fixture in the gym when he was just in the 4th grade. He became knows as that "hardworking" little kid that kept showing up, and this is where his love of fitness, body building and competing was born.
Victory Gym was a cornerstone for the community of Cherokee IA, and Quinton wanted to honor that when he took over ownership in September 2020.
This website is a tribute to what Ralph began all those years ago, what the next owner Dave Lawrence added, and what Quinton continues to build to this day.
The Priorities:
- Design an updated brand, that still included the retro feel from the original owners brand
- Develop a solid website foundation that can grow with her business and remain relevant for years to come
- Website copy that shares the gyms rich history while honoring the previous owners.
